The Willowman Festival

Back from Willowman Festival in North Yorkshire..lovely lovely times! We ran childrens workshops for Electric Juice in Susan's new tent - it was put to the test in the elements, the wild wind and rain. We didn't blow away, hurray!

Activities included dreamcatchers made from wool and willow, tutu skirts, mini comics and lots of hula hooping! I sold my jewellery from a rug, we met some great people and had a good dance to the bands in the evenings. Can't wait for more festivals!

Green Festival, Newcastle upon Tyne, England

Our local community green festival takes place in the local park and is run by volunteers.

For the last 17 years, the festival has showcased local talent, crafts people, musicians and performers.

We all attended last weekend. My partner Ian performed in two of his bands, they were awesome! Eppie and Andy ran the hungry elephant vegan cafe, nathan and his 4 year old son performed some nail biting epic moments of street performance, susan and myself ran a short hula hoop workshop. The whole thing was such good fun!

I feel ready to take on the next few weeks! Really need to get my head down and work hard at making lots of jewellery before the festival season really kicks off!

It's been a while..

Wow, thought I had deleted my blogger account a long while ago. Turns out I hadn't!

When I returned to set up a new one...I found the old one. Left standing silently and unloved.

So, appologies for being away so long! I've been using tumblr (http://supremily.tumblr.com/)

So far, this year has been so exciting! Had my work feature in Vogue Magazine which has certainly raised my profile as an artist. Looking forward to a summer of festivals and great markets.

I'll be back!

Good things in store...

I've been given a proper market stall by the council for my Sunday Quayside Market! I've been trading there since may and have battled with the elements from day one.

The wind....
The rain....
The snow!...

My gaffer taped gazebo has gone into the cupboard and I need worry no more!

And another bit of excitement...my new website is in the making. I'm really pleased with how it's turning out. Watch this space!

A New Year of Focus and Creativity

As soon as January was upon us, a wave of new creativity was upon me. I feel refreshed and possitive entering into this new year and am excited for new ideas and interests.

Christmas gave me a time to reflect on my past and help me to realise why I am the person I find myself to be today. After spending time with my family I travelled back to Newcastle and then drove to the countryside with my boyfriend Ian to stay with some wonderful friends for a few days.

Walks in the snow and lots more food later and we were back home. I have begun a work routine which has already been a huge success.

Join my facebook page www.facebook.com/supremilyjewellery for up to date photos of my work.

My new created items are gauged earrings for stretched ears.

I've loved every second of making them, so much so that i have decided to start stretching my own ears! I have bought two 1.6mm expanders to get me started!
