Welcome to December's ramblings! It's amazing to think that this is my last newsletter of 2014. What a year for Supremily Jewellery!
I'll personally be looking back through each monthly issue of this years newsletter to reflect on what has been an incredible year for me! Festivals, countryside life and engagement to name but a few!
I feel I'm really flourishing with happiness and constantly growing and evolving not only in my work, but as a little being too!
You can re-visit previous issues on my blog (link below)...and there is also a link button on the website

Thank you for being a part of this magical journey!
p.s, No more capitals either from now on! It seems I have been SHOUTING at you all for months!!! Sorry about that!

I'm planning next year to maybe drop my weekly Saturday stall at Tynemouth Market down to just one each month.
This will allow me to concentrate on getting more work put online, something which is really time consuming!
Editing photos (up to five in total for each item) and then listing each one individually takes a lot of time...my laptop is quite slow and the camera not brilliant so this slows things down even more. As you all well know, almost everything I make is a completely unique piece of work and one of a kind, so I can't list multiples of the same item because they simply dont exist!

|
Having some of my Saturday's back would be a dream!! Not to mention the friday nights! I could see my beloved friends more without having to go to bed earlier than everyone else on a friday eve and could spend the odd saturday having lunch with the girls ~ are you reading this ladies!!!!

Preparations are well underway for the Christmas Markets. I've been working on new stock day and night and cant wait to set up shop! I have no idea what the stalls are like as they're provided by the organisers, but they have electricity and lighting and are big! I have some 'Supremily Elves' who will be on hand at times to help me serve my lovely customers, make cups of tea and generally be AMAZING!
|
|
Lets see what weather our beloved mother nature decides to bring in January and February......it may be that we get snowed in and I can't make it to any of the markets!
(I'd actually love this! Just think of all the photos I could edit, sat by a nice warm fire. Mmmmmm!)

It seems all of my ideas arise when they are ready and meant to!
This idea to make mini brooches came to me what seems so late on in the journey so far but I managed to source some tiny mini brooch backs (which I didn't even know existed!) and hey presto! Mini brooches have been brought into existence and are packed full of possitive energy and a sprinkling of magic too!
|
|
Also now in existence, hairslides! A few of these are now available to purchase online and can be selected either with or without a giftbox.

Following on from last months project...heres the finished drawers I was painting (when I had a bad back and shouldnt have been doing ANYTHING!!).
I havn't as yet distressed them with dark wax.....I've been a little too busy! They are serving their purpose well as a new wrapping station for all the online orders, storage for all online stock and a place to keep all my gift boxes!

(Appologies for the dark spot on the pictures, I have a scratch on the lense!)

Into the new year I'm planning a complete workspace 'cleanse'.
This will involve sorting all the clutter that accumulates at busy times and organising the studio once and for all!
I'm already getting there with having a seperate wrapping station....it's been really helpful so far!
Organisation is key to running a business smoothly ~ I'm an artist, so not exactly neat and tidy...but running a jewellery business involves a certain level of organisation and storage as there are so many tiny components! Over the years I've found it hard to keep an organised workspace as there's always so much to do!
I'm looking into getting an extended surface area for my photo lamps and 'glue station' and a corner desk to be used as a 'photo editing, drinking tea and sorting accounts station'!!

|
On doing some very important reserach, I've discovered that the whole time I've been glueing stud earrings indoors with the new industrial strength glue....I should have been wearing this!!!!
